Performance Analysis Workshop
Wednesday 24th - Friday 26th April 2019 at University of Bristol
This hands-on course covers the use of a range of modern tools designed to help you understand and improve the performance of parallel programs. Attendees are encouraged to bring along their own applications, and coaching will be available to help you analyse your own programs which may suggest opportunities for improving performance and scalability.
Practicals can be undertaken on Isambard, the new ARM-based Cray Tier-2 system, or on the ARCHER national supercomputer. Accounts will be provided for all attendees.

Container Technologies in Cloud and High Performance Computing - 28-29 March 2019
Not an ARCHER event, but likely to be of interest to ARCHER users.
On 28-29 March 2019 there will be a meeting on Container Technologies in Cloud and High Performance Computing Research and Commercial Applications. This is being organised and run by SURFsara in Amsterdam as part of the CompBioMed project.
It will include speakers from Oracle, EGI and Singularity, along with a number of CompBioMed partners who have been working in this area. The aim is to gather together computational services developers and users from academia, industry and healthcare sectors to discuss the most recent advances in container technology, cybersecurity and related services. It will focus on the use of these technologies in computational modelling and their integration within HPC and cloud computing infrastructures. It is not intended to be focused purely on issues associated with CompBioMed.
